Let's Get Digital

Come on Auckland lets get on with it !

Planning is now well underway for “Accelerating Auckland”, a collaborative approach to getting Aucklanders digital  with a focus on families and small to medium sized businesses. A key deliverable is understanding of and access, for all Aucklanders, to the growth and innovation potential of digital capability.

To kick off,  a youth programme is being developed to engage young people as the foundation for broad community participation. Details will up dated shortly

At Labour Weekend 2013 an interactive digital exhibition is scheduled at  Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre in the Wynyard Quarter providing an exciting and entertaining opportunity for Aucklanders to come along and discover how digital tools can and will enrich their lives.

Next steps include an “in community” programme supporting ongoing digital capability within (in the first instance) Libraries, Marae and the CIDANZ community development programme,  along with plans to deliver the programme nationwide

Foundation partners  in the programme are Nga Pu Waea, Auckland Council, ATEED and Accelerating Aotearoa.
