Smina’s focus is to accelerate digital opportunities for New Zealanders. Smina recently joined us as the Project Director for Accelerating Auckland, after spending the last eighteen months with ATEED where she was Manager Business Capability and Local Offices. During her tenure, while managing government funding programmes for SMEs, she was involved with the Digital Leadership Forum where she helped create a programme for SMEs to transform their business through the use of technology. She was also involved with the seed concept of Accelerating Auckland.

Smina is passionate about the digital world, technology and the Internet and has worked in the industry for the last fifteen years. She holds an MBA from Canterbury University and has had her hands at a few businesses and worked for international corporations. Known as a great visionary, innovative and dedicated, what she really enjoys the most is the transformational impact technology and the Internet bring. Whether it be at work, at school, at home or in the city; she reckons once you are in it, you won’t look back.

When Smina is not working, she spends her time with her three children (who are as digital savvy as she is if not more). They all enjoy sports, rides and walks. Her favourite pastime though is wine tasting, with Pinot Noir being her favourite.
